| Welcome to CADA.
The Colorado Automobile Dealers Association is not a consumer help
agency. However, members of the CADA Management and Staff are often available
to explain Colorado Motor Vehicle Industry License Law and Regulations to purchasers
of cars and trucks. In some cases, staff may choose to assist a consumer in mediating
a problem with a member dealer. In most cases, the staff member will direct consumer
complaints to the proper authority; either the Colorado
Attorney General, the Colorado
Motor Vehicle Dealer Board, and/or the Better
Business Bureau.
Most motor vehicle purchasing problems occur because of two things:
- poor communication between customers and dealers
- major misunderstandings by customers of their obligations
Few complaints involve fraud. It is important
that the consumer give careful consideration to their purchase decision and
understand what the obligations and rights. If you have questions about purchasing
a motor vehicle from a licensed automobile dealer in Colorado, please read our
Frequently Asked Consumer Questions before
calling CADA or the regulatory authorities listed above.
